Preschool Graduation

High school graduation must be pretty boring when you start graduations at preschool. The kids loved it though. They did a program with songs and costumes, and then received their certificates all decked out in caps and gowns. Here are some pictures. (Including one of Quin goofing off behind the kindergarten graduates--Daddy was taunting and Quin obliged.)

Tball Begins!

Tball has begun and Quin is really liking it. Daddy is coaching the team which I think helps. The kids chose the name, "Royal Nuggets." He will be going to school with most of the kids, so it is a great opportunity for him to meet some new kids.

I added two pictures, one of Quin sliding in to home, which he thinks he needs to do every, single time. (Needless to say, his baseball pants are soaking in the sink as I write this.) The other is of Quin and his friend Danielle, they played against each other a couple of weeks ago.

Quin's 5th Birthday

Here is a picture of Quin celebrating his 5th birthday at home. (I haven't gotten all of the bowling pictures uploaded yet, so those will have to come later.) He had a good birthday celebrated many times. The crown is courtesy of Ms. Peggy, she always makes the kids a crown to wear on their birthday.

I know, way behind....

I haven't added anything in a while. I am way behind in uploading pictures; I guess that is what I get for having big memory cards. I will upload a couple new ones today and then hopefully some video soon.

Disney on Ice

Last weekend we went to Disney on Ice with some of the kids from Quin's class. Actually, the girls and Quin. It was actually pretty good. A couple of fun notes:

  • While the girls were oohing and ahhing about the performance and singing and dancing with the music, Quin was busy asking me questions like, "How do the characters talk?" and "How do they get up there?," " How do they fly in the air like that?" At times, even came up with logical answers to these questions himself.

  • Quin is a cheap date. Really, this wasn't just for this event. It is kind of funny, he never wants to go out to eat, he doesn't want a lot of things. So, at the show, you are inundated with Disney everything. All of the kids wanted the snow cones in the special cups and the popcorn in the Disney box, etc. Not Quin. He just wanted a bottle of water and the Peter Pan sword. Not the sword that lit up (which was more expensive), but the plain, Peter Pan sword that was less expensive. You gotta love that!

Let's Bowl, Let's Bowl, Let's Rock and Roll

The title will only make sense if you have seen Grease 2. Not the most stellar movie, but entertaining music.

Jadyn's 5th birthday party was at the bowling party and Quin was very excited. This is at the same place that Quin's party will be in a few short weeks. Here are a couple of pictures from the fun.

Girlfriends

After school every day, I ask Quin about his day, what he did, etc. He is use to this question, so I am starting to get a canned answer like, "We had circle time, I worked on my workbook, we went outside, I ate lunch, took a nap, and then played." However, one day this past week, Quin said (in addition to the usual description), "I have two girlfriends now." I said to him, "Really? Who are your girlfriends?" He replied, "Lauren and Avery." I said, "How did you get these girlfriends?" He said, "They asked me." So, that is that. (I guess I should mention this isn't a first for Quin. He said the Jadyn was his girlfriend when he was 2.)

We had a couple of disposable cameras at the house that had been used by Quin. We took them in and had the pictures put on CD and was amused to see that Quin had taken a picture of Lauren and Avery on Valentine's Day. Here is that picture. I haven't asked Quin again if they are still his girlfriends. I will have to check in with him and see.
